Experience
Kelcey joined Garfield & Hecht in 2020. Kelcey’s practice focuses on real estate acquisitions and sales, small business transactions, and estate planning for business owners. Her clients include private landowners, small businesses, and start-up companies. Her transactional work is informed by a strong background in litigation and business.
Kelcey maintains the AV Preeminent Rating, Martindale-Hubbell’s highest possible rating for both ethical standards and legal ability. She was named as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in the area of real estate in 2019, 2020, and 2021 (a recognition given to only 2.5% of attorneys in Colorado).
Kelcey was a founding partner at Wood Nichols, LLC in Carbondale, Colorado. She previously litigated property disputes with the Simons Firm, LLP in New Mexico. Prior to becoming an attorney, Kelcey worked for media-related start-up companies in New York and Colorado. She is a native of Colorado and grew up in the Roaring Fork Valley.
