Experience
Andrea began her career at a boutique civil litigation firm in Denver. Upon moving to the mountains, Andrea joined the 9th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, first as a Deputy District Attorney in Garfield County and eventually rising to serve as the Chief Deputy District Attorney for Pitkin County. During her time with the 9th Judicial DA’s Office, Andrea prosecuted hundreds of cases ranging from misdemeanors to homicide, gaining extensive trial and courtroom experience. Andrea later served as the Assistant City Attorney for the City of Aspen from 2016-2020. In this role, Andrea advised the City of Aspen on a variety of issues, including land use, constitutional law, elections, employment law, and civil litigation. Andrea also handled the City of Aspen’s municipal court docket and advised the City’s Historic Preservation Commission, Planning and Zoning Commission, and the Local Licensing Authority. In 2017, Andrea successfully briefed and argued the now landmark TABOR paper bag fee case, Colorado Union of Taxpayers Foundation v. City of Aspen, to the Colorado Supreme Court.
