The Town of Ophir sits at 9,625 feet above sea level in the heart of the San Juan Mountains. With a population of 180 humans and 51 dogs, it is one of only two municipalities in Colorado governed by a General Assembly form of government. David McConaughy has been visiting Ophir regularly since he was 13 years old and lived there during the early 1990s. He is excited to reestablish his connection to this historic mining town as the newly-appointed Town Attorney.
