Founding and Managing Shareholder Ronald Garfield presented on myLawCLE a national continuing education provider on the topic of Basics of Commercial Leasing. The presentation received excellent reviews and was attended by attorneys from Colorado as well as many other states. While covering the basics of commercial leasing the presentation also provided a number of good practice pointers for more experienced attorneys. The presentation included identifying third parties that may have to be consulted or whose approval may be required as to due diligence, lease requirements and matters that may arise post-lease signing. The presentation also described various kinds of leases including ground leases, sale and leaseback, employee leases and oil and gas leases. Finally the presentation included a discussion of lease provisions that are favorable to landlords and provisions that are favorable to tenants.
