Opinion Letter Practice
The firm mostly in real estate lending has acted as both an opinion giver on behalf of borrowers and on behalf of lenders (primarily banks) as recipient of opinion letters. On the subject of opinion letters, the firm authored an important article on opinions givers captioned Third-Party Opinion Letter: Limiting Liability of Opinion Givers, The Colorado Lawyer, November 2013 (Vol. 42, No. 11).
The firm has given opinions on Colorado security documents as part of multi-state transactions. The firm has also given opinions on behalf of homeowners associations that borrow money typically for capital improvements.
