Garfield & Hecht, P.C. is Open for Business
To Our Clients and Friends,
We have moved to a remote working environment. While all of our physical offices are closed we continue to serve all our clients. Weeks before our closures and social distancing became the norm, we prepared for this eventuality. You may email or call us as you have always done. Voice mail messages left with any attorney in our office are automatically forwarded and will be returned promptly. Our attorneys and staff operating remotely are all connected to our IT systems, and these systems are secure. We will promptly address any needs you may have across all our practice areas.
Our attorneys will continue to appear in court to the extent courts remain in session, which will include remote or telephone appearances as much as possible. If you are involved in litigation, there are new rules in effect for witnesses and jurors, and we will keep you advised. If you have a scheduled court appearance, please contact the attorney handling your case for specific instructions before traveling to the courthouse.
At this time we cannot provide notary services or in-person meetings at any of our offices, but we have technology in place for electronic meetings including video conferencing.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding with these procedures while our nation faces the current crisis. The health and safety of our clients, attorneys and staff remain our highest priority.
